The effects: Used to increase natural physical ability. Users say they feel moreaggressive and able to train harder. Can help build up muscle fasterwith exercise. Can help users recover from strenuous exercise.
Downside: Can stop young people growing properly. Male users may suffer erection problems, breast growth, shrinking testicles, sterility, acne. Can also increase chances of heart attacks and liver failure. Female users may suffer growth of facial hair, deepening voice, shrinking breasts, possible miscarriage and stillbirth.
Class: Class C
The Law: Controlled under the Medicines Act. Class C penalties apply for illegal supply.
