Cannabis
Also known as: Bhang, black, blast, blow, blunts. Bob Hope, bush, dope, draw, ganja, grass, hash, hashish, hemp, herb, marijuana, pot, puff, Northern Lights, resin, sensi, sensemilla, skunk, smoke, soap, spliff, wacky backy, weed, zero. Some names are based on where it comes from - Afghan, homegrown, Moroccan etc.
Looks like: Cannabis comes in different forms. Hash is a blacky-brown lump made from the resin of the plant. Grass or weed is the dried leaves of the plant. Oil which is dark and sticky and comes in a small jar.
How it is taken: Smoked with tobacco in a ‘joint’ or ‘spliff’. Smoked on its own a pipe or ‘bong’. Made into a tea. Cooked into food.
The effects: The user can feel relaxed or talkative. Cooking the drug into food can make the effects stronger and harder to control. The user can get cravings for food or ‘munchies’.
Downside: The user can become addicted to cigarettes when smoking with tobacco. This can also increase the risk of cancer. Users may lack motivation and energy.
